Signs you need repair
- Vibration at motorway speeds (80–110 km/h)
- Air loss or bead leaks after a hit
- Steering pull or a wobble under braking
- Scalloped tyre wear or noisy tyres
- Visible flat spot, buckle or hairline crack
Don’t risk it: Driving on a bent or cracked rim can damage tyres, hubs and suspension — and fail a WOF. We’ll assess and advise the safest fix.
What we repair (and what we replace)
- Bent / buckled / out-of-round wheels (straightened back to tolerance)
- Cracked rims (TIG-welded where safe and certified to repair)
- Warped lips / flat spots from curb or pothole impacts
- Diamond-cut, painted, polished and powder-coated finishes
If a wheel is beyond safe repair (severe structural damage, spoke fractures, heat-affected failures), we’ll recommend replacement and can help source options.
Our 8-step repair process
- Remove, de-tyre & measure — Tyre and TPMS protected; run-out checked with dial gauges to map high/low spots.
- Controlled heat-soak — Wheel is warmed to a preset temp so the alloy can be re-formed without stress fractures.
- Hydraulic straightening — Pressing and rerolling return the barrel and lip to factory tolerances.
- Stress relief — Where the alloy has stretched, we apply a controlled heat-treat to stabilise the repair.
- TIG crack repair (if needed) — Precision Tungsten Inert Gas welding fuses hairline cracks; the area is dressed and contoured.
- Truing & CNC skim — Minor run-out is machined away for a perfect circle and uniform face.
- Refinish (optional) — Prime, colour-match and clear, or re-cut diamond faces in our temperature-controlled booth.
- Re-fit & balance — Tyre refitted, TPMS reinstated, dynamic balance verified; lugs torqued, pressures set. Ready to roll.
