Powder coating for tough, even wheel finishes that resist chips and UV, done in-house at our Grey Lynn workshop.

It’s a dry pigment coating that’s electrostatically applied to metal, then baked so it bonds into a hard, even shell. The result is a more durable finish than standard wet paint, ideal for wheels and automotive parts that cop road grit, heat and weather.
If the part fits our ovens and handles ~250 °C, we can likely powder coat it—wheels, bike frames, brackets, suspension bits and more.
Gloss, satin, satin-matte or full matte; plus metallic and textured options for extra depth. Need factory-correct tones? We stock popular shades and can source OEM-grade pigments quickly when required.
Typical turnaround: most jobs are ready in 2–3 days; multi-stage or custom work can take a bit longer—we’ll confirm timings in your quote.
Is powder coating better than paint?
For wheels and metal parts, yes—adhesion and durability are stronger, and it’s far less likely to chip or flake with age.
What can you coat?
Alloy/mag wheels, bike frames, brackets, suspension components and many industrial parts—if it fits our oven and tolerates ~250 °C.
How long does it take?
Most powder jobs are 2–3 days; we’ll outline exact timing with your quote.
